Errors are JSON with a short code you can switch on and a message you can show.

HTTP	Code	What to do
400	`bad_request`	A value is malformed, or the key was put in the address
401	`unauthorized`	Send a valid key in a header
403	`upgrade_required`	The data is outside your plan; the message names the plans that include it
404	`not_found`	No match, event or player has that id
422	`unknown_parameter`	A filter name is misspelt; the message lists the ones allowed
429	`rate_limited`, `quota_exceeded`	Wait for `Retry-After`
500	`server_error`	Our fault, already logged; try again shortly
